

The Army Scholarship Foundation awards the Sergeant First Class Emmanuel Lebron Memorial Scholarshipannually in perpetuity to a deserving U.S. Army family member.
This scholarship honors the qualities that SFC Lebron personified throughout his life and military career: leadership, teamwork, compassion, empathy, community engagement, passion, drive, and the highest standards of integrity, morality, and discipline.
SFC Emmanuel Lebron was born on September 17, 1993, in New York City. He came from a large, close-knit family and community. His mother emigrated from the Dominican Republic only a few years before his birth.
Growing up in a one-parent home with limited means helped shape his servant heart. From an early age, he learned to care deeply for others.
Those who knew SFC Lebron remember him as selfless, competent, caring, intelligent, and sacrificial. At the same time, he had a great sense of humor and could be whatever someone needed him to be. Above all, he loved our nation fiercely and genuinely wanted to make it a better place for everyone.
Following his studies in Political Science at the University of Colorado, SFC Lebron answered his calling to serve others by enlisting in the U.S. Army.
He served his country for eleven years until his passing in December 2025 while stationed in Baumholder, Germany.
Throughout his career, SFC Lebron worked extensively with the PATRIOT missile defense system. He held numerous leadership positions, including:

As a result of his exceptional service and leadership, SFC Lebron rapidly advanced through the ranks and achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class at just 31 years old.
SFC Lebron made a tremendous impact on the lives of countless soldiers. He led with loyalty, compassion, and commitment.
His soldiers believed in him, trusted him, and respected him.
