The Seventh Annual Help Our Heroes Luncheon was held on November 4, 2022 in Dallas, TX. Our guest of honor Major General Kenneth L. Kamper did the keynote speech and the 2022-2023 recipients were announced.

The Sixth Annual Help Our Heroes Luncheon was held on November 5, 2021 in Dallas, TX. Our guest of honor Major General Kenneth L. Kamper did the keynote speech and the 2021-2022 recipients were announced.

The Fifth Annual Help Our Heroes Luncheon was held on November 6, 2019 in Dallas, TX. Astronaut Shane Kimbrough did the keynote speech and the 2019-2020 recipients were announced.

The Fourth Annual Help Our Heroes Luncheon was held on October 24, 2018 in Dallas, TX. Lieutenant General Jim Dickinson did the keynote speech and the 2018-2019 recipients were announced.

The Army Scholarship Foundation hosted a fabulous Mother Daughter Tea and Fashion show on April 30, 2018 in Dallas at the elegant Belo Mansion. The event was attended by approximately 100 supporters, and featured fashions by Betty Reiter and KidBiz. Models were our own Dallas supporters and children, who did a truly professional job! The program also included a patriotic musical performance by Ms. Ellen Batch, followed by our child models and others carrying American Flags. Our Honorary Chairs, Lucy Billingsley and Carmen Williamson Hancock were among our notable attendees for a lovely event.

The Third Annual Help our Heroes Luncheon was held on November 1, 2017 in Dallas, Tx. Our guest of honor Congressman Alan West did the keynote speech and the 2017-2018 recipients were announced.

The Army Scholarship Foundation hosted a wonderfully enjoyable Musical and Royal Afternoon Tea on March 22, 2017 in Dallas at the Harlan Crow Library. The event was attended by approximately 100 supporters, and included reminiscences of his service with the British Royal Family by Royal Chef Darren McGrady. Chef McGrady was personal chef to Queen Elizabeth, Princess Diana and Princes William and Harry for many years. He has also cooked for 5 US Presidents. Chef McGrady prepared an afternoon tea menu just like he had so often served for the Royal Family, and provided a number of entertaining and remarkable insights to his service with the members of the Royal Family. The afternoon was capped by a marvelous musical finale by professional Russian Soprano Rezeda Raskiewicz, and Dallas Symphony Chorus Baritone Jared Duncan, accompanied by pianist Igor Chernyshev.

The Army Scholarship Foundation hosted its second annual Help our Heroes benefit luncheon on October 28, 2016 in Dallas. General Gordon R. Sullivan, US Army retired, and the 32d Chief of Staff of the US Army and former President of the Association of the US Army was the keynote speaker. Other speakers included Lieutenant Stan Green, US Army retired, and former Inspector General of the Army, and the Honorable Allan Clark, US Army retired, and former Director of the VA National Cemetery Administration. Garrett Wise, 2016 scholarship recipient also spoke about the difficulties faced by military family members in pursuing their education. Samantha Nance, 2015 scholarship recipient and spouse of Private First Class Marty Nance of Fort Sill also participated in the program. Moderator for the event was Jody Dean, local radio personality. Sponsors included Bell Helicopter and the Brown Foundation (Gold sponsors), Hillwood (a Perot Company), and AT&T (Silver sponsors); and Christus Health, NexBank, the Honorable Al Zapanta, and Glass Doctor of Dallas Metroplex (Bronze sponsors). Media sponsors included KLUV 98.7 FM and the Park Cities News and the Waters Family. In addition to the speakers, prominent attendees included Congressman Pete Sessions and former Congressman Allan West, and Colin County Judge Keith Self. The event was attended by over 200 business, civic, and academic leaders as well as both active duty and retired soldiers.

The Army Scholarship Foundation hosted its inaugural benefit luncheon on October 27, 2015 at the Brook Hollow Golf Club in Dallas. General John Abizaid, US Army retired, and former Commander of United States Central Command was the keynote speaker. Other speakers included Lieutenant General Jay Garner, US Army retired, and former Director of the Office of Reconstruction and Humanitarian Assistance for Iraq, and former US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Robert Jordan. Samantha Nance, 2015 scholarship recipient and spouse of Private First Class Marty Nance of Fort Sill, also spoke about the difficulties faced by military family members in pursuing their education.
