Army Scholarship Foundation – The Hill Report

The Hill Report

A Weekly Newsletter from Congressman Pete Sessions

Week of June 29 – July 3, 2015

Tomorrow families and friends across America will gather in celebration of our country’s independence. This is a special day to reflect on the freedoms that we enjoy every day and the brave men and women who safeguard these liberties.

To celebrate this wonderful day I will be participating in events across the 32nd Congressional District including the 8th Annual Sachse Red, White, and Blue July 4th parade this evening and the Park Cities 4th of July Parade, Rowlett Fireworks at Bayside, and the Richardson Fireworks show tomorrow. I will be posting pictures throughout the day so make sure and check out my Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages.

Army Scholarship Foundations Stand Up for Heroes Dinner in Dallas

Tuesday evening I was honored to speak at the Army Scholarship Foundations Stand Up for Heroes dinner in Dallas. The Army Scholarship Foundation is a charitable, non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing college scholarships to children of current and former members of the U.S. Army, and to spouses of currently serving soldiers. This foundation was founded in 2000 by U.S. Army veterans who wanted to ensure that veterans children had the opportunity receive a higher education. This is a wonderful organization and I applaud their commitment to helping the sons and daughters of our nations veterans achieve their dreams of attending college.
