ASF Welcomes Laurin Darnell to Board of Directors

The Army Scholarship Foundation is pleased to announce that Laurin Darnell of Grand Rapids, Michigan has joined its Board of Directors.

A US Army veteran and supporter and volunteer for the Foundation, Mr. Darnell brings both a deep personal connection to the Army and extensive business leadership experience to the Board. In his new role, he will continue supporting the Foundation’s mission of helping deserving military family members pursue their educational goals.

“I am honored to join the Board of Directors of the Army Scholarship Foundation and to support its important mission,” said Darnell. “As a veteran, I have deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by Army families, and I look forward to helping provide educational opportunities for these deserving students and spouses.”

Darnell is a graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point, New York, and served for five years as an Infantry officer in the US Army, with assignments in both Georgia and Germany. He also holds an MBA from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Darnell has extensive leadership experience across a range of industries, and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for Pregis, LLC, a global provider of innovative protective packaging, flexible packaging, and surface protection products serving customers throughout North America and Europe.

Founded in 2001, the Army Scholarship Foundation provides scholarships to deserving sons and daughters of US Army soldiers and Army veterans, and to spouses of enlisted active-duty soldiers. The Foundation is sustained by the generous donations of its supporters.
